This is a pre-release build available to beta testers. ## What's New - AI Chat is fully baked and identical on desktop and web (one shared component) - The assistant now shows a "Working…" indicator and streams its reasoning as a collapsible "Thinking…" block — no more staring at a blank screen - Ask it to "generate a report" and it saves the report and hands you an openable link (with PDF export) - Attach documents/images, switch models (web), copy any response, and see clear errors with a Retry button ## Improvements - Chat renders proper UI for tool calls, reasoning, sources, and file outputs - The assistant is more capable: create projects and clients, generate and save reports, log and organize time - Reports support much longer time ranges

## What's New - Map projects with AI: Scribe suggests how your scanned folders group into projects, shown in a live review checklist before anything is applied. The model's reasoning and each suggestion stream in as they're decided, it works with a cloud model or one running on your machine, and the review includes bulk actions (select all / none / no new projects), expandable per-row detail, a "Data sent to AI" panel showing the exact prompt, and a refine box to adjust and re-run. - Inline project mapping: assign each discovered folder to an existing project or a new one right in place, with confident git matches applied automatically. ## Improvements - The window title bar now has a working team selector. - Auto-update on launch now installs an available update before starting the app, instead of waiting for a manual restart. - Signing in once keeps you connected across app updates, so you no longer have to re-authenticate after updating. ## Bug Fixes - The navigation drawer no longer overlaps the macOS window buttons. - Fixed a sync accounting issue where a batch of already-known events could trigger unnecessary recomputation. - Team invites now match regardless of email capitalization or extra spacing. - The timeline device filter's "None" option now clears the selection correctly.

## Improvements - Redesigned the "Ingesting Data" progress screen: the dialog no longer jumps around while ingesting, each source appears as a compact tile with its platform logo, and empty sources are hidden so you only see what actually changed. ## Bug Fixes - Windows: restored Windows builds — the app installs and updates on Windows again (fixed a bundling error that stopped the server from starting).

Pre-release for beta testing. ## Ingestion fixes (test focus) - **Claude Code**: now ingests real conversation content (was producing mostly empty events — modern tool-result turns were parsed to blank). Empty-content events eliminated. - **Git**: now ingests commits from ALL your scanned repos, not just mapped ones (unmapped repos attach with no project) — your work is no longer invisible. Boundary-correct project attribution. - **Claude Desktop**: adapter now also scans the canonical OS location (was only looking under the configured scan root). - Faster file dedup (batched). Please test: map a project (or not), run ingestion with date range = ALL, and confirm git commits + Claude Code conversations appear (not +0). Bundles scribe@dev. Note: auto-update delivery (OPL-2648) still being fixed — install this DMG manually.
